Zinc is a mineral with healing and immunological capabilities that is essential for thyroid function. It is required for the conversion of T4 to T3 as well as the increase of free T3, the active form of thyroid hormone.

Many individuals with hypothyroidism or underactive thyroids are zinc deficient, so it’s vital to consider boosting your intake naturally or supplementing.
